Dr. Dindo Campilan manages IUCN’s Asia and Oceania regional hub, which serves 48 countries through a network of 15 offices and 300+ staff members. He leads IUCN’s regional portfolio of collaborative projects and activities providing science-based knowledge, tools, and solutions for the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources. IUCN ( is the world’s largest, oldest, and most diverse environment organization. 
Earlier he worked with United Nations agencies and CGIAR international research centers – from Latin America to Asia — in agriculture, food and environment research and development. He served as Asia regional director for the International Center for Tropical Agriculture/Centro Internacional de Agricultura Tropical (CIAT) and as manager/chief technical adviser on sustainable enterprises for the International Labour Organization (ILO).
Dr. Campilan holds a PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University in The Netherlands.
